A pair of Bicycle Horns and a Bell can be used to attract attention when necessary:

A Cable Lock is essential these days. SPECIALIZED sell a Rapper Slim Lock which can be fitted with two nuts and bolts as shown:

TO double the range of the VeloSoleX S 3800 a spare Fuel Bottle containing the correct pre-mix can be fitted as follows:

1. Buy a 1.5 litre SIGGS-type aluminium Fuel Bottle.
2. Buy a suitable Fire Extinguisher Holder to hold the Fuel Bottle.
3. Slide heat-shrink tubing over the holder arms or wrap some self-amalgamating rubber tape on to prevent scratching.
4. Remove rear wheel.
5. Drill two 6 mm holes in the frame down-tube to match the holes in the holder.
6. Fit the holder using two M6 nuts, bolts and washers.
7. Re-fit rear wheel.

THE rather basic Old Engine Lift Handle can be transformed to a New Engine Lift Handle by fitting a Car Gear Knob to the end:

1. Using a small hacksaw, remove the black plastic knob from the end of the Old Engine Lift Handle.
2. Enlarge Car Gear Knob hole with a 10 mm diameter drill.
3. File the end of the Old Engine Lift Handle to 10 mm width so that it can fit inside the hole of the Car Gear Knob.
4. Fill the Car Gear Knob hole with High-Temperature Epoxy Resin and press it onto the handle.
5. Leave resin to harden for 24 hours or longer.
